I am on the ramp up program. Because I will be in Vegas for work the first week the ramp up program begins, Ray is going to work with me one on one to ramp up so I am not behind on weekend 2.

Yesterday was my first one on one session with Ray.

Work out:

15-12-9 run 200mm, squats, rows, push ups

This means…I had to run up and down an alley…on a hill. Do 15 Squats, 15 Rows ( Which is pulling yourself up on a bar ..kind of like a reverse push up..basically its an easier pull up), and 15 push ups…then I have to go back and do 12 squats, 12 rows, 12 push ups.. etc etc. You get the idea.

It was very difficult for me because I have no upper body strength. My time was 9 minutes.

We came to the conclusion I have little core strength and that is part of the reason why it is so hard for me to do a proper push up and row.

After I did the reps I had to do the run again…my legs were so fatigued and wobbly I thought i was going to fall over while running.

I woke up this morning with massively sore arms and back. Sore thighs and sore abdomen sides. My worst pain is coming from my arms today.

My next class with Ray is today at 4. Ill keep you posted

Food Diary:

Breakfast: Oatmeal

Snack: Tomato

Lunch: Tomyum Soup

Snack: Powerbar

CROSSFIT

Dinner: 2 Veggie Burgers..no bread..just the patty. Mustard dipping sauce. and Cereal.

Free Class-For Ramp up

My alarm clock goes off Saturday Morning. The dreadful clock says 9:30 AM. I don’t even remember the last time I got up on a Saturday morning at 9:30 not hung over. I slug over to my closet and then realize I am going to be late if I dont book it. I try to wake myself up and get in the car and go. I walk into the group all ready doing warm ups.

Today’s work out: Squats, Burpees, Push ups, bell, sit ups.

A.) I dont know what the hell a burpee is. B.) I can’t even do a girl push up.

I thought to myself : “Oh great, this is going to be a hilarious sight”

We started doing reps of them in a row, after about 20 minutes into the work out…i started feeling nauscious. I started getting extremely lightheaded. Started seeing stars, and was going to pass out or throw up if I didnt do something fast. I told the instructor and he advised me ot sit down.

I felt like such a failure. Pathetic to say the least.. i cant even do the FIRST FREE INTRO CLASS! So he went over to me and asked me if I had eaten…My response: NO. I hadnt even drank a sip of water before starting that class. My instructor told me that i need to eat an hour before i start or i will feel this way…..needless to say:: LESSON LEARNED.

Results: 5 days after that Saturday Morning..Feb 11,2012…..my abs were so sore I could barely laugh 4 out of the 5 days…and my body was sore all around.

A little nervous for the next class on thursday

My entire life I have longed to become physically fit. I am not overweight right now, however I am not in shape either. When I say physically fit: I mean ripped, 6 pack, little to no body fat, a complete transformation. The past year I have been toying around with the idea of getting into crossfit.

I first heard about this insane workout through my friends Sue and Dave, both in great physical condition. I started enquiring about this crazy work out. After countless hours of the googling crossfit, looking up crossfit sites, and asking people and it sounded right up my alley.

I am a person who despises cardio. Althought I force myself to go to the gym and do a few days of eliptical for 45 minutes, I still never see any results. I needed something to push me.

I then started a new job where my job trainer told me about crossfit and how it changed her life a long with the Paleo Diet. She swore by it and told me to at least give it a try. I thought about it for another 6 months.

Again, googled cross fit “forums” “transformations” “results”. Took the next step and mentioned something about my interest in CF and found out my good friend Nancy started. Needless to say, she was also obsessed like everyone else i talked to.

I finally decided to take a leap and call a box and go in for a free session….and this is where my journey begins.

So why Crossfit you ask? I’ve asked myself this many times before taking the leap. I really just want to get into the best physical shape i’ve ever been. I want to be healthy, feel healthy, become stronger, and surprise myself.

I have a few goals that you can read about in my next blog.
